With León sitting comfortably atop the standings, and sides like América, Tigres, and Pachuca chasing close behind, the race for the top spots is already heating up. Now, let’s talk Jornada 6 and why I’m rolling with another “both teams to score” (BTTS) pick, this time in the Cruz Azul vs. Pachuca matchup. Cruz Azul averages just over two goals per match (2.04) and concedes slightly under one (0.96). That’s a strong indicator of an attacking mentality—and at home, they’ve cranked it up a notch, boasting a 62% win rate with nearly three total goals per game (2.85). They also hit BTTS in half their fixtures, so even though they’re favorites, their open style often allows opponents to find the back of the net. Combine that with Pachuca’s 55% BTTS rate and 2.77 average total goals per match, and you have the makings of a wide‐open, end‐to‐end clash.
Sure, Pachuca doesn’t win all of their games, but they rarely get shut out completely—especially away, where they’ve managed to score in three of their last five.
