🇲🇽 El Tri Takes the Crown
What a finish! Mexico pulled off a wild 2–1 win over Panama in the Nations League Final, and Raúl Jiménez was him. The veteran striker put El Tri on his back, scoring early and then calmly burying a penalty in stoppage time to steal the trophy at the death. Absolute ice in his veins. And shoutout to Luis Malagón—after catching heat for his shaky semifinal, the dude showed up big time with a solid performance between the sticks. It wasn’t always pretty (Mexico had less of the ball and fewer passes), but when it counted most, they delivered. Vamos.
⚽ Jornada 13 Incoming
With just five matchdays remaining in the Clausura, things are heating up. Club América sits atop the standings with 27 points, closely followed by León (26) and Tigres UANL (25). The top six are separated by just six points, meaning every match now has serious playoff implications. At the other end, Tijuana, Santos Laguna, and Puebla remain in desperate need of points to climb out of the basement. Matchday 13 kicks off Friday with Necaxa vs Querétaro, and runs through Sunday night with León hosting Pumas.
🔥 Match of the Week: Club América vs Tigres
All eyes will be on Saturday night's showdown between first-place Club América and third-place Tigres. América has been dominant all season with the best attack in the league (26 goals scored), while Tigres boasts a well-balanced side that’s hitting form at the right time. A win for Tigres would see them leapfrog América, potentially claiming the top spot depending on León’s result. Expect fireworks at 7:05 PM on Saturday—this one could be a preview of the Liguilla final.
As always, the CABRA boys have your best bets lined up for the weekend below!
6 THINGS WE LEARNED FROM MEXICO IN THE NATIONS LEAGUE

LOCK of the WEEK:
Leon vs Pumas
Sunday, 6 pm PST
Two Teams, Two Goals, One Easy Win?
💰 Beer Money Pick
Look, we’re not saying this is a lock... but it kinda feels like one. León has scored in every single game this season—home or away, doesn’t matter—they’re putting it in the net. Pumas, meanwhile, are thriving under their new manager, Juárez, scoring in every game since he took over. Add in the fact that León hasn’t lost at home in 10 straight and loves a wild shootout? Yeah, we’re cooking.
Here’s where it gets spicy: both teams have scored in 6 of the last 7 matchups between these two. León's last 5 games have seen goals flying in, and Pumas just won’t go away quietly. Whether it’s a 3–2 thriller or a gritty 1–1 scrap, there’s value all over this. Grab a beer, toss a few bucks on BTTS at -133, and enjoy the ride. Let’s root for goals—not sides.
Andre’s Lock of the Week
