Jornada 10 Recap
Sheesh! Club América DOMINATED Toluca at the Estadio Azteca with a convincing 3–0 victory. Álvaro Fidalgo opened the scoring just six minutes in, before Alejandro Zendejas doubled the lead early in the second half with a well-placed finish. The match ended with a flourish courtesy of C. Borja’s stoppage-time strike, capping a strong overall performance from Las Águilas. Meanwhile, León claimed a 2–1 triumph over Club Tijuana, and Tigres snatched a gutsy 2–1 win against Necaxa on the road.
The latest Team of the Week puts the spotlight on several high-flying players. Uroš Đurđević (Atlas) led the way with a 9.1 rating up front, and Club América’s dynamic duo Álvaro Fidalgo (8.2) and Alejandro Zendejas (9.6) made the midfield after their stellar performances against Toluca. Monterrey’s Sergio Canales joined them with an 8.6 rating, while Luis Malagón (Club América) starred between the posts with an 8.4.
Monterrey also grabbed headlines with a thrilling 4–2 win over Santos Laguna. The victory was extra special as Sergio Ramos—the former European star who’s making waves in Liga MX—scored his first goal in Mexican football. He towered over the defense on a corner kick, thumping home a trademark header that energized Los Rayados and helped them secure the three points.
Looking Ahead to Jornada 11
With 10 rounds in the books, the standings are heating up: León remain on top with 26 points, closely followed by Club América on 23. Tigres (19 points) and Toluca (18 points) are also in the chase, while several teams—including Necaxa, Cruz Azul, and Pachuca—hover in striking distance. This weekend’s marquee matchup sees archrivals Chivas and Club América lock horns in the historic Clásico Nacional. Both sides enter with momentum, but pride and bragging rights will be on the line above all else. Expect a vibrant atmosphere and an intense 90 minutes that could shake up the top of the table once again.

El Volcán Advantage: Why Tigres Over Querétaro Remains the Smart Choice
Tigres’ home dominance against Querétaro jumps off the page. Over the past five meetings at “El Volcán,” Tigres stands at a perfect 5–0–0, outscoring Los Gallos Blancos by a staggering 17–2 margin. That level of superiority aligns with Tigres’ impressive 71% home win percentage this season, compared to Querétaro’s meager 8% away win rate. Add in the fact that Tigres is +413% better in terms of points per game (PPG) than Querétaro, and it’s easy to see why the oddsmakers favor the home side once again.
Querétaro, on the other hand, has been plagued by offensive woes—firing blanks in 11 matches this season (41% of their fixtures) and scoring just once in their last away outing. They’ve also managed only one game with both teams scoring in their last five away from home. Meanwhile, Tigres’ balanced approach has them conceding fewer than a goal per home match on average. Put simply, the form guide, the head-to-head record, and the raw stats all point to a commanding Tigres performance in front of their roaring home crowd.
